”Jefferson’s idea of freedom of the press wasn’t to have a bunch of political eunuchs running around.”
—I.F. Stone, interview with the author, 1979

The Iowa Writers Collaborative hosts an “Office Lounge” online discussion via Zoom between paid subscribers and columnists on the last Friday of every month at noon. The next one is noon Friday, Feb. 28. A link for paid subscribers to join the discussion is below the paywall at the bottom of this column. All paid subscribers are invited, and free subscribers are invited to become paid subscribers and join the discussion.

The collaborative is now made up of more than 70 writers from various fields and areas of interest.

Here’s the lineup. The paywall with the link is below that.
The Office Lounge is a great way to finish your week by browsing in the marketplace of ideas.
